Mikumi is located North of Selous Game Reserve about 300km from Dar-es-Salaam. Because of its accessibility it is one of the most popular parks in Tanzania. It is an important center for ecology and conservation students; animals like lions, wild dogs, waterbuck, wildebeests, zebra, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest and sable antelope are seen. Also crocodiles, monitor lizard and python are among the parks many residents.
Getting there: A 4 hour drive or 1 hour flight from Dar-es-Salaam.
